US Steel Launches Carbon Capture Partnership
US Steel (NYSE:X) has partnered with CarbonFree to capture carbon emissions from their steel manufacturing operations. CarbonFree’s SkyCycle technology is able to capture carbon emissions directly at the source of manufacturing before they enter the atmosphere and convert them into a carbon neutral version of calcium carbonate, which can be used in the production of new materials such as paper and plastic.
Large Language Models Are Coming For The Law
Luminance raised $40 million in a new Series B financing round. The UK-based artificial intelligence startup has purpose built a large language model for legal matters that has been trained on over 150 million documents and is capable of rapidly identifying non-standard clauses, compliance issues or potential legal concerns.
The Startup That Wants To Disrupt The Egg Industry
Onego Bio has developed new precision fermentation science around producing the primary source of protein inside of egg whites. Relative to traditional factory egg farming, Onego Bio’s process uses 72% less water and 95% less land. The company raised $40 million in a recent Series A financing that saw participation from Agronomics (LSE:ANIC).
