Pfizer Is Paying Billions For A GLP-1 Drug Development Company

Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) entered into an amended merger agreement to acquire GLP-1 drug developer Metsera (NASDAQ: MTSR) in an all cash deal worth up to $10 billion. Metsera is developing some of the most advanced injectable and oral GLP-1 drugs for obesity that have shown exceptionally promising patient outcomes in initial clinical trials.

Grab Holdings Is Making A Bet On Remote Driving Technology

Grab Holdings (NASDAQ: GRAB) made a strategic investment of $60 million into remote driving startup Vay Technology, which uses remote drivers in control centres to operate electric vehicles .and is the first company to ever win approval to operate within Europe. Grab publicly stated they will invest up to an additional $350 million into Vay Technology upon successfully hitting specific milestones.
