Eli Lilly Is Acquiring AtaiBeckley For Psychedelic Drug Development

Eli Lilly (NYSE: LLY) has entered into a new deal to acquire psychedelic drug discovery company AtaiBeckley (NASDAQ: ATAI) for up to $3.8 billion. AtaiBeckley’s two lead psychedelic derived compounds BPL-003 and VLS-01 are both designed to be short acting psychedelics for treatment-resistant depression that complete the entire therapeutic process in roughly two hours, which is a significant difference compared to other psychedelic medicines which can take anywhere from six to twelve hours.

Electrovaya and Amazon Form New Deal For Lithium-Ion Batteries

Electrovaya (NASDAQ: ELVA) entered into a new commercial agreement with Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) to supply them their Infinity Battery Technology for Amazon to use in their material handling operations. Electrovaya’s Infinity Battery Technology is a proprietary lithium-ion battery platform that is capable of powering material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks, and the company has publicly stated they plan to deploy the technology in both robotics and energy storage systems.

Walden Robotics Raises $300 Million For General Purpose Robots

Walden Robotics successfully raised $300 million in a seed financing round led by Toyota’s venture capital arm. Walden Robotics develops and manufactures general purpose robots that are capable of performing manual labour in industrial environments alongside of human beings. Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Boeing (NYSE: BA), Samsung and CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) also participated in Walden Robotics’ capital raise.
